“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38.
These are the words of Jesus spoken by Himself: meaning these words are true.
The challenge with lots of God’s children is they don’t know how to hold God to His word.
Remember Jesus told His disciples when they asked why they couldn’t cast out the demon, it was because of their unbelief. It was not because they didn’t pray well or the demon was too strong, but their unbelief. How?
If they had believed, they wouldn’t have asked why it didn’t work, they would have checked themselves rather to be sure everything was right.
It’s like buying a brand new car and the next morning the car refuses to start. I don’t think you will call the dealer to say they sold you a fake car. You will check the security, the battery, you will do all that investigation first, why? Because you believe the car is suppose to work.
Now do you believe what Jesus said above is true? What do you give? Your offerings, tithes, seeds, meeting the needs of people, offering services to people. Why do you do it? Why do you give?
First, your reason should be because Jesus commanded us. If I choose to obey Him, it means I am being true. Now if I am true, then it’s left for Him to show Himself true.
If you believe Him, then you must receive a harvest of every offering you give. Lots of you just give offerings without any expectation, that is wastage.
Be smart! Anytime you want to give whether freewill or you heard a command from the Lord, it has to be in direct obedience to Jesus’ words and confess it before Him and you will begin to see results in every one of your giving.
Always be rational with God, He’s not a religious being, so don’t be a religious fool. Follow God with understanding; when you do, then you will believe praise God.
May your giving bring your desired harvest.
