“Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments.” Psalms 112:1.
Praise God! We celebrate the Lord for this new week and like David said, “this is the day the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it”. God has made this day for your joy and gladness, therefore everything that will happen this day and this week shall be for your joy and gladness. Do you believe this?
Look at our scripture today, blessed is the man that fears the Lord. If this statement was made by Jesus, He would have said, Blessed is the man that loves the Lord. That word fear is actually love, it doesn’t mean terrifying fear, it means the fear with excitement which is love.
So how do you know the man that fears the Lord? He delights greatly in God’s word. Remember Jesus said “If you love me, prove it by keeping my word”.
The proof that you love or fear God shows in how you respond to His word. It’s just like when you ask a single lady, what kind of husband do you want to marry? Most likely the first quality they will say is God fearing.
How would you know a God fearing man? It’s not because he’s always in church or he’s always around the pastor or even if he’s a pastor. Show him the word and see how he responds to it.
When he’s worrying, show him the word, when you think he wants to make a mistake, show him the word and watch his response. When you see a man that prays 10 hours a day but when you show him the word he says live that one aside, fear such a man.
You want to do business with a believer? How do you know one? Show him the word first, test him with the word and see his response.
Listen, it takes the power of the Spirit to do the word, it takes a man that is truly saved to do the word. When you see a man that delights in the word, even if he is broke today, it is just a matter of time, he will be prosperous and it will be solid prosperity.
I pray for you today, that the Spirit of the Lord will guard you in this Amen.
